Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitro Kuleba had a telephone conversation with Israeli Foreign Minister Yair Lapid. Making a statement on his social media account after the meeting, Kuleba stated that he met with Lapid on the occasion of Israel’s Independence Day and thanked Israel for its support and humanitarian aid to Ukraine at the United Nations (UN) General Assembly. Kuleba noted that Lapid assured me that Israel will stand by Ukraine during and after the war, including avoiding sanctions and helping Ukraine rebuild.
“THE ONE WAY OUT FOR LAVROV…”
Expressing that Lapid and himself are angry at the anti-Semitic statements of Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, Kuleba said, “I emphasized that anti-Semitism has a long history among the Russian elite. The only way out for Lavrov is to publicly apologize in front of all Jews. “Anti-Semitism cannot be tolerated,” he said.
‘HITLER WAS JEWISH ORIGIN’ FROM LAVROV
Lavrov, in a recent statement to Italian television, said that he thought Nazi leader Adolf Hitler was of Jewish origin and that “the biggest anti-Semitic opponents were Jews.”
The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on the other hand, condemned Lavrov and called the Russian Ambassador to Israel to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and demanded an explanation. (UAV)
