The Federation reveals new details about the final fireworks of the First RFEF season. Riazor, A Malata and Balaídos are the stadiums chosen to serve as venues for the playoffs for promotion to the Second Division. It is also known when the final will be played between the champions of the two groups (Friday, June 3 at 9:00 p.m.) and the promotion finals (Saturday, June 11 at 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.).
The First RFEF lives its last days and, as planned, it has been announced that the last two league events of the regular phase will be played with a unified schedule. In the circular issued by the Federation, the clubs have been informed that These last two days will be held on Saturday May 21 and May 28 at 6:30 p.m. Games can only be played outside of that schedule in case neither of the two teams are involved in the fight for the playoff or permanence.
It will be from June, with the regular phase already over, when the playoffs for promotion to professional football will be held. Galicia will host these matches and the stadiums are already known. They will be played in the fields of Deportivo (Riazor), Celta (Balaídos) and Ferrol (A Malata). The RFEF announces that the choice of each stadium for each match will be based “on the capacity needs of each of the participating clubs”. Which could ensure that Deportivo play in front of their fans.
The playoff games already have a date and time, in the absence of knowing which teams end up in the chosen positions. The first semifinal will be held on June 4 at 9:00 p.m. between the 2nd of Group 1 and the 5th Group 2; the same day, but at 18:00 the 3rd of Group 2 and the 4th of Group 1 will be measured; on Sunday, June 5, at 6:00 p.m., the 2nd of Group 2 and the 5th of Group 1 will face each other; and, at the same time, the 3rd of Group 1 and the 4th of Group 2. The RFEF warns that these schedules could vary if “temperatures exceed 30º, 24 hours in advance” and could be delayed one hour. Although a priori it is expected that it will not happen, since they have been set “in accordance with the study carried out on the accumulated temperatures in the host cities during the last five years.”
