Utrecht University receives 424 million for scientific top research
The Gravitation project is intended for collaborative groups of scientists who carry out innovative and influential scientific research within their field. The aim is to stimulate research programs to achieve international breakthroughs. To make this possible, the funding for these studies comes directly from the national government.

The Gravitation program will enable researchers to conduct top university research over the next 10 years and collaborate in multidisciplinary teams. One of the pillars of the program is collaboration across disciplines and universities.
