A 28-year-old Norfolk man is facing charges after police seized suspected cocaine, currency and an imitation firearm at a Simcoe address.
The Ontario Provincial Police (PPO), Haldimand/Norfolk Community Street Crime Unit executed a search warrant at a Queensway West property on Friday, April 29.
A man was taken into custody without incident and charged with trafficking cocaine, possession of proceeds of property obtained by a crime under $5,000 and failure to comply with probation order.
“Our community street crimes unit has been very effective with proactive illicit drug investigations,” Inspector Shawn Johnson, Interim Detachment Commander for Norfolk County OPP, said in a media release. “This is yet another example that highlights how the police and the community continue to work in partnership to resolve crime.”
The accused is scheduled to appear in a Simcoe court on a later date.
