This is a name that rocked our childhood. Adibou, the friendliest and most curious young alien of all time, is making a comeback in a mobile game for the little ones.
A squealing fan, a CD player spinning at full speed, and the Windows 95 interface on a cathode-ray screen. Adibou is a bit like Proust’s madeleine of thirty-something French-speaking people. Discovered in 1990 thanks to the Adi game (for Intelligent Tutorial Learning) developed by Coktel Vision, this friendly young extraterrestrial and his funny friends have brightened up our Wednesday afternoons with their educational and colorful mini-games. But the license taken over by Ubisoft did not survive the era of flat screens and gradually disappeared after its last iteration in 2009. The good news of the day is that Adibou is back! And he has fully understood the new challenges of modern gaming since he landed directly in the form of a mobile application. Intended for 4-7 year olds, this game was developed by Wiloki and has been available since April 28 on IOS and Android. You can visit the Adibou official page here.
What is Adibou on mobile?
Well that’s all you can expect from an Adibou game. Young Adi hasn’t aged a bit, and neither have his friends. Among the latter, we find of course the grumpy Bouzigouloum, always grumbling all the time and Plop the dog overflowing with enthusiasm. Of course, the mini-games offered by the application are much more suitable for your children than for you, and you will be happy to learn that they have been designed by educational experts with the aim of facilitating the awakening of children in different disciplines. The child can learn to read, to count, but also to cook and plant vegetables, while being accompanied by the benevolent Adibou. In short, an ideal application to accompany your child in parallel to school from the middle section to CP. And that’s all that made Adibou successful, you learn a lot, while having a lot of fun.
Where and at what price can I find Adibou?
Adibou is currently available on the App Store, the Play Store and the Android store for the modest sum of €9.99 per device. The opportunity for many young French people to share with their children what marked their youth. Of course, we still have to take into account the need to moderate the use of screens for the little ones, but a little bit of Adibou from time to time is also to facilitate learning, discover centers of interest and above all to assimilate educational tools designed by teachers and experts. So why not try the adventure?
