Milania Väänänen and Filippo Clerici lost their position in a pair of skating free programs.
Finnish pair Milania Väänänen and Filippo Clerici Ranked 19th in the World Championships in Figure Skating in Boston, the United States.
Väänänen and Clerici did not reach the button in the freelance program and fell from yesterday’s short -time program.
The Finns received 97.99 for the freelance program, which was more than 10 points for their best results of the season. The result was one of the weakest in the 20 pairs of free programs.
The Finnish couple’s total points were 155.81. The couple’s free programs were taxed by falls in the triple salchow jump and two in the throwing elements.
– I never leave anything in progress. I have been raised so that I do not give up, no matter what happens. The audience encouraged me and it felt cozy, Väänänen said in a news release from the Figure Skating Association.
A year ago, Väänänen and Clerici finished 18th in the Montreal World Cup.
The World Championship celebrated in Boston Japan Riku Miura and Ryuichi curly. They got a score of 219.79 and defeated German Minerva Fabienne Hasen and Nikita Volodin Total 0.71 points. The German couple was third after the short program, but scored the best in the free program.
The bronze was captured by an Italian pair Sara Conti and Niccolo macii.
