Firefighters from Stations 1 and 2 Quickly Removed the Tanks from the Area and Douse the Blaze at the Thames Street Camp Just after 3 pm, Chatham-Kent Fire and Rescue Said in a release.
There we are no injuries and cause of the fire is undetermined, it said.
A Few Weeks AGO, Chatham-Kent Fire, Police and Housing Services Visit the Camp to Verify there was Adequate Space Between the Tents, The Release Said.
“Diligent Efforts Have Been made by community Partners to reduce the presence of combustibles in the area,” Fire Officials Said.
The Fire Service Reminds Residents Use Propane Heaters Safely, Never Use Outdoor Heaters Indoors, Ensure Proper Ventilation, Keep Heates Away from Flammable Materials and Always Follow Manufacturer Instructions.
