The St. Clair Region Conservation Authority Has Awarded Two Organizations for Their Contributions to the Environmental Well-Being of the Area.

Bkejwanong Eco-Keepers and Plains Midstream Canada Both Receiving Conservation Awards Recently at The Authority’s Annual General Meeting.
Bkejwanong Eco-Keepers is an Environmental and Conservation Program Operated by the Walpole Island First Nation Heritage Center/Nan.da.wab.jig, a release from the Conservation Authority Said.
The Program Helps Youth Learn About Their Cultural Heritage and to Promote Positive Change and Relationships Within The Walpole Island Community and Beyond. The program is meant for youth to reclaim their anishinaabe roles as caretakers of the earth.
Through a Partnership Between the Scrca and the Healthy Headwaters Lab at the University of Windsor, Autofey Staff have introduced participants in the program to different techniques to monitor aquatic health.

Plains Midstream has been provided $ 35,000 sincere 2019 to the conservation authority to deliver the spring water awareness program to schoools throughout the waatershed.
The Program Provids Students With Safety Guidelines for the Potentiallly Dangerous Situations at Streams and Rivers During the Spring. The Program USES Experiment, Activities and Games Connected to the Curriculum for Students to Learn About The Hazards of Cold, Deep and Fast-Flowing Waters, The Release Said.
The Program Has Reached 5,500 Students Free of Charge since 2019.
The Scrca Board also Drop Edward Deputy Mayor Greg Grimes as Chair and Prympton-Wyoming Coun. Kristen Rodriques as vice-chair for 2025.
