The president of the RN went to Réim, to the site of the Nova festival, struck by the Hamas terrorism attack. Jordan Bardella was arrested by a resident, annoyed by his presence in Israel.
The president of the RN officially started this two -day visit to Israel on Wednesday 26 March. Invited by the Israeli Minister of the Diaspora for a conference “for the fight against anti-Semitism”, Jordan Bardella is expected in Jerusalem, but he started his trip to the country with a visit to the Nova Festival site, struck during the attack on October 7 in Israel.
Arrested by a resident, annoyed by his presence on the spot, the boss of the far -right party wanted to answer, in front of the cameras which recorded their animated exchange. “What does the RN have to tell us about its repentance concerning the Shoah? I have been full of times in Auschwitz with my grandfather and survivors, what do you have to say to us? Nothing! It’s not because there is an electoral opportunity … Concretely, what did you do? Are you going to do a repentance, as the Germans do we do?”
“I consider that the Holocaust has been the ultimate in barbarism. If many French people of Jewish confession give us their confidence today, it is because they know the sincerity of our speeches, it is because they also see that we have broken with what the National Front could be,” replied Jordan Bardella. And to add: “We appear as people able to lead France in a few months and in this context, we are intended to work with all the nations which fight against Islamist fundamentalism”.

Jordan Bardella is accompanied during his trip to Israel by the mayor of Perpignan, Louis Aliot, first vice-president of the RN. MEP Marion Maréchal is also invited to the conference organized by the Israeli government tomorrow, it will intervene during a round table this Thursday morning.
Among the speakers at this conference, we note the presence of many nationalist right or far right currents: Hungarians from Fidesz (the Viktor Orban movement), Dutch of the party for the freedom of Geert Wilders, the Spaniards of Vox or the Democrats of Sweden.
