David Belliard, Transport assistant at the town hall of Paris and former head of the list of environmentalists at the 2020 municipal officials, was again invested this Sunday, March 23 by his party to run for the town hall in 2026. He won 52.6 % of the votes, barely defeating his competitor Anne-Claire Boux (47.4 %) during the second round of this primary which mobilized 66 % of the 1,340 militants Parisians, announced the departmental officials of environmentalists.
The former File of File to the 2020 municipal elections had arrived widely at the top of the first round last Sunday, bringing together 48 % of the votes against Anne-Claire Boux, assistant to the town hall in charge of health (27 %). The support that the latter obtained from the two candidates eliminated after the 1st round, Fatoumata Koné and Aminata Koné, gained him numerous votes in the second round of this ballot, marked by an increase in five points compared to last Sunday.
Within the Parisian political landscape, David Belliard is the first to be invested by his party for the municipal elections of 2026. In 2020, during a campaign stretched internally, David Belliard had been elected head of the list in the first round after withdrawal of the tandem formed by Julien Bayou and Antoinette Guhl. He then gathered 10.8 % of the votes in the first round of the municipal elections, before rallying Anne Hidalgo to the second.
