A helicopter accident has occurred in Norrbotten. The two people who were previously missing have now been found.
A helicopter was drawn in an avalanche near Abisko National Park during Thursday afternoon. Seven people, including the pilot, were involved in the accident.
Two found after avalanche accident
Five of the persons were undamaged, while two people were initially missing. These two have now been found, but the injury situation is unclear, according to the police.

– In connection with this, the avalanche has brought the helicopter with it.
The five people not drawn in the avalanche were “in physical good condition”, said André Waplaninternal commander of the rescue cooperation north, to the Northern Social Democrat.
The pilot was alone in the helicopter, which stood on the ground, when the avalanche was triggered.
– He stood on the ground when he saw the avalanche being triggered and never had to start the helicopter again, so it slipped into the avalanche, says the helicopter company’s CEO to NSD.
The rescue effort includes helicopters, where a helicopter from the Norwegian rescue service also participates.
The avalanche went near Kårsavagge, west of Abisko National Park.
