Nimo Daud, 28, was murdered in a forest area in Märsta last winter-today a 39-year-old man was charged with the murder.
Already at the arrest, he admitted to the police that he murdered a person.
Later, he stated to the police that he had plans to kill even more.
In December, the 28-year-old nurse Nimo Daud was murdered in Märsta when she was on her way home from work. She was stabbed after she got off the bus and walked home.
– We have lost a sister, a daughter, a best friend. The world’s best person. She was not only my sister, she was my best friend, my other half, said Nimo’s little sister Hibo Daud after the murder.
39-year-old man was arrested the day after
The day after, a 39-year-old man was arrested, who on Wednesday was charged with murdering Nimo with some 30 knife cuts.
When he was arrested by the police, he asked if it was because he murdered a person. During the first hearing with the police, he admitted guilty and stated that he was prepared to take “any punishment”.
As the police went through his storage room, a bag and a knife were found with Nimo’s blood on.
Had the goal of killing eleven people
Nimo Daud was a randomly selected victim and did not know the 39-year-old before. The man has been forcibly cared for on several occasions and is said to be seriously mentally ill.
In interrogation, he stated to the police that he had heard voices and that a black rose would symbolize a murdered person. The man’s goal or assignment must have been to get hold of eleven roses and already the day after the murder of Nimo Daud he planned to kill again. The man meant that he followed different signs.
– They had to do with these eleven black roses, which I thought I needed to make eleven victims, says the man in interrogation.
Planned to murder again the day after
The same night as the murder, the man searched for “Buy Svärd Stockholm” on his mobile phone. The next day he went to the NK department store in Stockholm where he bought a kitchen knife.
“The idea was to continue killing if needed,” says the man in interrogation.
After purchasing the knife, the man went to an area south of Stockholm. There he planned to kill another person – but the murder did not go away.
– I wasn’t supposed to do that so I went home instead, says the man in interrogation.
The man then went home to his home, where police were waiting who also arrested him.
