Free via launch a special series on Veepee, including an unlimited 5G package for 19.99 euros per month. An attractive offer at first glance, but which deserves some details on its limitations.
For several years now, Free has passed through the platform Veepee (ex private sales) to offer special limited -term offers. Until now, it was mainly promotions on internet boxes and telephone packages. Limited operations, which were quite often accompanied by very attractive prices. But this Tuesday, March 18, 2025, the operator attempted a first with a formula combining the two, namely a light Revolution Light associated with its famous unlimited 5G package for only 19.99 euros per month. What to attract new customers attracted by this unparalleled price on the market, especially since it is without obligation. Except that before rushing, the conditions and characteristics of this very special offer should well be examined.
Free series Free: a limited box and a low rate only the first year
First of all, this offer is reserved for people who have not subscribed to a free promotional formula in the last 36 months, which immediately excludes some recent customers. Then, to take advantage of it, you must reside in Located an unbundled area in ADSL/VDSL or in fiber and be eligible for the TV service via the Internet. Again, everyone will not be able to claim it, even if the coverage of Free is today very extensive in the territory.
Then, you should know that the Freebox Revolution is not a latest generation box. Launched in 2010, it suffers from numerous limitations compared to more recent models. If it manages the ADSL/VDSL and the fiber well, they are limited in flow: 1 Gbit/s by descending 700 Mbiyt/s by as much as possible with the fiber. This is quite sufficient for many uses, and not only solo, but lower than what is found on modern fiber boxes which reach or exceed 5 Gbit/s like the Freebox Pop or the Freebox Ultra.
More embarrassing in practice, the Freebox Revolution does not manage 4K, having to limit itself to classic Full HD. Again, CDE is not unacceptable, an understood to watch streaming platforms limited to this definition in their cheapest formulas. But it is a limitation for moviegoers amateurs of beautiful image. Above all, due to its age, the Freebox Revolution is still confined to Wi-Fi 5, much less efficient-both in cover and debit-than Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 7 that can be found on all modern boxes. A limitation a penalizing minute for wireless followers, even if it is possible to improve the coverage using the optional repeaters.
However, the Freebox Revolution still retains many qualities. Its server module is always equipped with a 250 GB hard drive allowing you to store all kinds of files, including video recordings, and share them in a network. And its Player module incorporates a Blu-ray player, CD compatible and DVD, which allows you to read all kinds of optical records. A very appreciable heritage, even if the streaming took and not on physical supports. Finally, the Freebox Revolution always gives access to very many services, with in particular more than 240 TV channels included, replay, and Oqee Ciné, the FreeE streaming platform which offers hundreds of films and unlimited series on demand.
The telephone package associated with the offer is well known too. It incorporates calls, SMS and MMS but also unlimited data in France, 5G or 4G depending on the coverage available (35 GB abroad in 110 countries). Note that calls, SMS and MMS are also unlimited in the French overseas departments, in Europe and in several countries (USA, Canada, Australia, Israel and South Africa).

There remains the question of the price. Because the special free offer is only offered at 19.99 euros per month until the first year. Very classically, the price increases after a year. And there, things get complicated by dissociating. The box thus increases to 29.99 euros per month, which corresponds exactly to the usual price of the Freebox Revolution Light alone. The telephone package associated with the offer, which is “offered” during the first year – it is billed zero euro – also goes at its normal price, or 19.99 euros per month in theory, but 15.99 euros per month for freebox customers (only one reduction per household, however). So we fall back on the usual free rates, without any promotion.
To put it simply, and to summarize, this special free offer is really very interesting that the first year when it is billed 19.99 euros per month all inclusive. Afterwards, the total price increases to 35.99 euros per month (29.99 + 15.99), which is less seaman. And all, not to mention the various costs (49 euros in commissioning fees, 59 euros in costs in the event of termination plus 20 euros per option of optional). By looking a little, there are cheaper formulas at other operators, with an internet box and a telephone package, even if the services offered are not identical (Data volume, TV channels, etc.). So everyone carefully has their calculations – and over several years! – Before cracking, knowing that the VEEPEE promotion is only valid until March 31.
