Säpo has interrogated the maid – found Landerholm’s documents

A maid found former security adviser Henrik Landerholm’s documents in a courtyard.
The maid has previously been unreachable – but has now been questioned by Säpo.
– There have been two questions that many have asked, what contained these documents and where is the maid. In both cases, we have managed to find out, we mean, and that strengthens the preliminary investigation, says prosecutor Mats Ljungqvist.

Last week, Landerholm was charged with carelessness with secret task. In March 2023 he forgot a folder with secret documents at Gällöfsta courtyard in Upplands-Bro.

It was later found by a maid. According to prosecutors, there is a danger to Sweden’s security if foreign power has access to the content of the documents.

Been interrogated by Säpo

The maid has previously been unreachable, but has now been found by one of the security police investigators. The prosecutor does not want to state if she was heard as a witness or suspect.

– We have found the maid in question and heard her, says Mats Ljungqvist, adding:

– I participated in that hearing and we have been given the opportunity to ask the questions we had for her. But what she has answered we cannot go into.

Taken part in copy – the documents continued disappeared

In addition to the maid, Säpo has also taken note of the secret documents that Landerholm forgot left at the courtyard in the form of a copy – something the investigation previously lacked.

– What we are interested in is not the documents in general – but what information is covered by the so -called injury assessment. We are convinced that we now have that information, says Mats Ljungqvist.

At the same time, it has not been possible to find the physical documents that were forgotten in the courtyard. Ljungqvist does not want to comment on whether the documents have been spread.

– It has been a question of where the actual documents have taken the road and we still do not have a really good answer to. At least, as we perceive, we have a copy of the information that is relevant in the case, says Mats Ljungqvist.

Linked to violent extremist environment

The maid turned out to have links to the violent extremist environment in Sweden. When Säpo went through her transactions, it emerged that she received a transfer of SEK 15,000 from a close relative-a 55-year-old man who has long been well known by Säpo’s contratering terrorism unit.

The man is a citizen of Russia and who immigrated to Sweden about 15 years ago. In a military report, he has been identified as a former extremist leader and is estimated to have belonged to the leadership layer in a violent Islamist environment.
