Soda bicarbonate, for example, is an essential ally for the maintenance of laundry. It helps to eliminate bad odors and revive the whiteness of the clothes. As for white vinegar, it is an excellent alternative to classic softeners. By pouring half a cup in the laundry tank, in the softening compartment, your clothes will gently win without leaving chemical residues or artificial odors.

There is also another natural and really cheap product that makes miracles on white linen. A single spoon is enough to restore your t-shirts, shirts, sheets or white towels their original shine. But that’s not all. This miracle powder is also a very good stain removal, it is effective even on stubborn stains like those of fat, coffee or wine. It is the soda percarbonate, much more effective than bicarbonate when it comes to making clothes white and spotless.

Soda percarbonate, when it comes into contact with hot water, decomposes in sodium carbonate and hydrogen peroxide, which releases active oxygen, a powerful natural whitening agent. While hydrogen peroxide whitens and disinfects, sodium carbonate dissolves fat and eliminates limestone.

The use of soda percarbonate is very simple. Just add a tablespoon directly to the drum of your washing machine, in addition to your usual laundry. For a reinforced action, you can dissolve it beforehand in a little hot water before introducing it into the machine. Here are also some tips to optimize its efficiency:

  • Soda percarbonate is more effective from 40 ° C. For recalcitrant stains, prefer wash at 60 ° C.
  • For very stained textiles, let them soak in a hot watercolor with a tablespoon of percarbonate for a few hours before washing them.
  • No need to put too much! A tablespoon is more than enough for a full machine.
