It is last week and on Monday that several people contacted northwestern Skåne’s water and sewage, NSVA, about the fraud attempts.
SMS: One that has been sent out says, among other things: “We have issued a red warning in Båstad municipality. The water should not be used”.
– We have reported the incident to the police and try to inform as best we can, says Anna Troedsson.
The staff has identification
She points out that if NSVA wants to make home visits then there are always booked meetings. The staff usually comes in logged cars, and has identification. If you are unsure, you can always contact NSVA to confirm the meeting and double -check the staff.
– We take this seriously and it is scary. Pure drinking water is an important social function so it is important that our confidence remains, says Anna Troedsson.
