It was in March 2023 that Maha Kadoura was anesthetized at a private clinic for plastic surgery in Malmö. She suffered from oxygen deficiency and cardiac arrest and never woke up from anesthesia.
Now, the doctor responsible for the anesthesia for negligence to another’s death, alternatively, is charged with the anesthesia for the death of another.
Burst in surveillance
According to the prosecutor, the physician has been careless by not adapting medicines and dosage in connection with the sleep. He has also broken in the monitoring of the patents.
The Inspection for Health and Care, IVO, reported and believes that the doctor acted in violation of science and proven experience.
After the death, the clinic was banned from “performing aesthetic surgical procedures on patients under general and regional anesthesia”.
The clinic later went bankrupt. The doctor refuses a crime and believes that he has not caused the patient’s death.
