Reuters: Many dead in attacks against Gaza
Israel conducts extensive attacks against Hamas in Gaza, says the Israeli military (IDF).
According to Reuters, a series of explosions have been heard throughout Gaza during the night until Tuesday.
The news agency states, with reference to Hamas -controlled authorities, that more than 15 people were killed when Israel carried out air attacks in at least four cities.
According to eyewitnesses, targets in central Gaza, Gaza city, Khan Younis and Rafah should be attacked.
“Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz have instructed IDF to act with force against Hamas Terror Organization in the Gaza Strip,” the Prime Minister’s office announces in a statement, Haaretz writes according to TT.
“This follows Hamas’s repeated refusal to release our hostages and its rejection of all the proposals they received from the US president, Steve Witkoff, and from the mediators,” the statement states.
The attack is reported to be the largest since the ceasefire came into force on January 19.
