The famous duo of irreducible Gaulois is soon returning to a new adventure! The provisional coverage of this 41st album was unveiled on Sunday evening. While we already know since last December that the new album will be released on October 23, 2025, the publication of what would only be an outline of the cover reveals that the new adventures of Asterix and Obelix will lead them to Lusitania, a Roman province which covered a good part of that which we now name Portugal.
But what this first cover does not reveal is the presence of a character already crossed in the past in a previous album: Asterix: The Domaine des Dieuxor the 17th album of the comic strip. Published in 1971, it had been produced by the original duo: the screenwriter René Goscinny and the designer Albert Uderzo. However, this character had only appeared in two small boxes of the album.
