The Sidaction event concert, recorded on March 11 and 12 at the Marigny Theater in Paris, will be broadcast this week on France 2. Forty artists have mobilized, despite the remarkable absence of Line Renaud.
The Marigny theater welcomed a parade of stars for a good cause for a good cause for two days this week at the call of the Sidaction association. Orchestrated by the host Stéphane Bern, this evening, the 31st of the genre to fight AIDS, did not carry a specific theme, but bet on unpublished and surprising duos.
Among the guest artists of this 2025 Sidaction, there is, Amel Bent who resumed “my philosophy” in the company of Emma Peters. David Hallyday paid tribute to his father on “You didn’t give me time” with Joseph Kamel. Canadian Charlotte Cardin accompanied Pretto Eddy Piano on a title of Billie Eilish. Michel Fugain shared his tube “do like the bird” with the young Ycare. Bilal Hassani and rapper Ebony electrified the public on “Bad Romance” by Lady Gaga.
Were also present on stage Marc Lavoine, Bernard Lavilliers, Nolwenn Leroy, Camélia Jordana, Alain Chamfort, in duet with Keren Ann, Raphaël, Camille Lellouche or Amanda Lear.
Line Renaud could not come to the Sidaction concert
But this Sidaction 2025 also had a large absent. At 96, Line Renaud, the vice-president of Sidaction, who had not missed any edition since 1994 (outside that of 2022 because of the COVVI), this time could not make the trip. “She is a little tired, we are not going to lie,” said Stéphane Bern at Télé Loisirs. “I would have loved being by his side,” he said, “but at his age it is understandable that she cannot be physically present”.

The actress nevertheless wanted to participate in Sidaction via three recorded videos, punctuated by her traditional calls for donations. “As long as AIDS is there, we will be there,” said Line Renaud, relentlessly restoring 110, number to call to send a donation. “The struggle must continue because we do not yet have a vaccine, the researchers can block the virus but still not completely eliminate it from the organism,” she also recalled, believing that “today, we live better with AIDS but, alas, we still die.” And to cite the 600,000 deaths still caused by the disease. “Without your gifts, we will not win this fight. Thank you very much for doing 110. And believe me, not a penny will be lost,” she concluded according to the journalist Figaro present to recording.
Line Renaud’s Passage from Relais to Sidaction
Despite the somewhat disturbing remarks of Stéphane Bern, the actress appeared “relatively in good shape”, we can read. “I will soon be 97 years old, I can’t believe it myself. But know one thing, until my last breath, I will be there by your side for a world without AIDS.” Which did not prevent Line Renaud from taking over to the young generations: “I have all confidence in you, I know that tomorrow, you will take over. The time is for the next generation and it’s so beautiful to see”.
Each year, more than 5,000 people who still discover their HIV positive people in France. Research has made immense progress to block the virus but not yet to completely eliminate it. Sidaction thus counts on the generosity of the public so that one day, as Line Renaud wishes, comes “a world without AIDS”.
