TF1 would be interested in recovering an emblematic program of the C8 channel. The presenters are careful not to say more.
The C8 channel, property of the Canal+ group by Vincent Bolloré, definitively disappeared from our screens on February 28. This unprecedented decision, validated by the audiovisual and digital communication regulatory authority, then confirmed by the Council of State, in fact upset the French audiovisual landscape, with the upcoming arrival of two new channels and a new numbering on a good part of the TNT, set up during the year.
But beyond the chain itself, it is obviously the emissions and the C8 teams that were the most impacted at this stage by the Arcom decision. Pursued in court by TF1 for “counterfeiting” and “denigration”, Cyril Hanouna was unlikely to join the front page, which criticizes him in particular for having used many extracts from his programs to skyrocket them in TPMPwithout respecting the Intellectual Property Code. A dispute that is added to longtime tensions between Hanouna and certain personalities of TF1, like Christophe Beaugrand.
However, TF1 would not be closed to any collaboration with the old C8 galaxy. According to some sources like Le Parisien, the group was very interested in the start of the year by the takeover of another emblematic program of the channel: the animal program The animals of the 8broadcast on Sundays, from 11 a.m., on C8. Presented for 20 years by the accomplice duo Élodie Ageron and Sandrine Arcizet, this program has imposed itself as a reference on pets, wild and breeding.
Despite their emotion in the face of C8 stop, the two animators said they were open to an evolution of the program on a new channel. At the end of February, they returned to a possible “adoption” of their programs on the TF1 group: “We would really like the two programs to be saved. We still have so many things to share! But for the moment, we really have no confirmation,” they said, prudent.
Nothing is yet confirmed yet, but this transfer would undoubtedly delight the many fans of this educational and benevolent program dedicated to our animals.
