One employee died and three were injured in an explosion in an oil refinery in the city of Rjazan, Russia, says Tass and Ria.
“The plant was planned for the planned technical work by the contractor organization’s employees … and the pressure of the equipment took place,” said the refinery representative, according to Tass.
Owned by Russia’s largest oil producer Rosneft, the refinery has also been the target of Ukrainian droons on several occasions. In February, it interrupted its operations after a droon attack.
Last year, Rjazan’s refinery handled 13.1 million tonnes (262,000 barrels per day), almost 5 % of Russia’s total processing capacity.
