Chinese president XI jinping has rejected a preliminary invitation to visit Brussels at a summit for celebrating the 50-year-old diplomatic relationships between the European Community and China, says the British newspaper Financial Times.
Politico reported in January that chairman of the European Council António Costa And XI had a telephone conversation stating that the holiday “could be a good opportunity for a successful EU-Kiina summit this year.” The previous summit between Europe and China was held in 2023.
Diplomatic relations between Europe and China were formed on May 6, 1975.
