JPS celebrates the Finnish Mens Finnish Championship Sport

JPS from Jyväskylä won the second men’s Bandy League Championship in its history. Last time it celebrated SM gold six years ago.

  • The Jyväskylä Region Palloseura has won the Finnish Men’s Finnish Championship for the second time in its history. JPS toppled the Bandyliiga finals at home in Lappeenranta’s Veiterä with a 9-2 goals.

    What made the JPS championship special was the first time the Bandy League final was played in Jyväskylä. The match was followed by 1,800 spectators in Viitaniemi.

    – Quite insane. I’ve never been able to play in front of this kind of audience. The atmosphere is insanely nice, JPS Tarmo Ässämäki Annexed.

    JPS’s first championship came in the spring of 2019, when it fell Veiterä in Lappeenranta in the final. Silver medalist Veiterä has been on the Finnish Championship medals for nine consecutive seasons.

    – We have a really good team and hard work. The season could not have gone better, Liukkonen said.
