He is suspected of five cases of “indecent or inappropriate documents” involved in a child during the 1980s, according to a press release from Oklahomas state prosecutor.

Have recognized “inappropriate sexual behavior”

Robert Morris was the pastor of the Mega Church Gateway in Dallas, in the United States. But last year he left his post, after a woman accused him of having abused her as a child repeatedly.

The events must have taken place in Oklahoma during the 1980s, when Morris seemed as a traveling preacher. According to the indictment, the abuse began in December 1982, when Morris was visiting at home with the victim’s family. He was then 21 and she was 12 years old. It should have continued for four years, writes NBC News.

In a statement to the evangelical news site The Christian Post, Morris admitted that he devoted himself to “inappropriate sexual behavior with a young lady in a home where I lived”.

“There were kisses and caresses and not intercourse, but it was wrong,” he said.

Urged the girl to be silent

According to the indictment, Morris has, among other things, dressed the girl’s clothes and rubbed her against her. She also testifies that Morris urged her not to tell anyone, because it would “destroy everything”.

In a statement from her legal envoy, the woman states that she is grateful for the prosecution.

“My family and I are deeply grateful for those who have worked tirelessly to enable this day, and feel hope for justice to prevail in the end,” she says.
