Nine people have been killed in Israeli attacks in the city of Beit Lahia in Northern Gaza on Saturday, says Gaza’s civil defense authorities controlled by Hamas.
According to the aid organization Al Khair Foundation, eight of its employees are among the victims.
Among the victims, there are several employees in a charity whose vehicle was attacked by a drone while shooting in the area, according to spokesman Mahmoud Bassal.
The organization Al Khair Foundation – which is registered in the UK – confirms for BBC that eight of its employees were killed on Saturday in connection with their vehicles being attacked. In the group there were both volunteers and journalists who were there to report on the business, according to the Al Khair Foundation.
Israel’s Army IDF announces that they have attacked “two terrorists … who operated a drone who posed a threat to IDF forces in Beit Lahia”.
“Later, another number of terrorists gathered the equipment from the drone operation and stepped into a vehicle. The IDF attacked the terrorists,” the statement continues.
The Al Khair Foundation strikes the accusation that it is about terrorists.
