Louane swings her song for Eurovision 2025 like that, by surprise, and in front of everyone. And the way of doing things is remarkable.
After weeks of suspense, the big moment has finally arrived to Louane And all Eurovision fans. The 28 -year -old singer, designated in January by France Télévisions to represent France in the European song competition, will reveal to the public the song with which she will defend the tricolor chances, in Basel, next May. And to make an impression, she saw things big, by orchestrating a show that should surprise millions of people.
After the already very publicized revelation of “Mon Amour”, Slimane’s song last year, in the middle of the 8 p.m. newspaper on France 2, France Télévisions still increases the level this year. Louane will be placed in the heart of a gigantic device, filmed in front of 80,000 spectators, and broadcast live at one hour from (very) great listening. All proportions obviously guarded, the event will have nothing to envy to the Half-time concert in the Superbowl, in other words the sporting, musical and television event of the year in the United States.
The French delegation for Eurovision has been working for several weeks with the French Rugby Federation and the Stade de France, to prepare a 15 -minute sequence that will occupy the half -time of the France – Scotland match, scheduled for evening, evening in the evening. In the absence of advertising between the two rounds of this decisive match for the Blues in the 6 nations tournament, rugby enthusiasts will therefore be surprised to discover Louane’s song, but also, no doubt, some elements of its staging for Eurovision.
“Let’s go like that,” said Alexandra Redde-Amiel, director of entertainment at France TV and head of the French delegation at 20 minutes, who wants to “bring together an extremely popular artist and a popular sport”. She promises that Louane will not be alone on this lawn of the Stade de France.
And the springboard should be strong. Last weekend, the Ireland-France match had attracted, in the middle of the afternoon, 6.5 million viewers on average, with a peak at 8.2 million people. They were 9.5 million viewers for the match against England in early February. We can therefore count on more than 10 million for the great final of the tournament.
The France – Scotland match being broadcast on France 2 from 8:50 p.m., and the kick -off given at 9 p.m., Louane’s performance should start at 9:40 p.m. or 9:45 p.m., after the first 40 minutes of the game. Without song, the bookmakers already placed Louane in fourth place in the favorites this week, with 10% of victory, behind Sweden, Austria and Israel. After the rugby match this Saturday, will remain to transform the test on May 17, on the side of Switzerland.
