It is therefore about ten large cities (Paris, Lyon, Grenoble, Aix-Marseille, etc.) and not all metropolitan cities with more than 150,000 inhabitants which will have to create a ZFE by December 31, 2024. , under the Climate and Resilience law.

This interest-free loan will concern cars and vans weighing less than 2.6 tonnes whose emissions are less than or equal to 50 grams per kilometre, i.e. electric vehicles Where hybrids. It may be granted, subject to means-testing, to individuals and micro-enterprises domiciled or working in an inter-municipality part of whose territory is located in this type of ZFE, or in a neighboring inter-municipality, according to the decree. The loan of a maximum amount of 30,000 euros must be repaid over a maximum of seven years.

At the end of the two-year experiment, the Ministry of Transport will be responsible for an evaluation report. Despite the injunctions of the Council of State and the calls to order of the European Commission, France does not respect the standards of air quality in a number of areas of its territory.
