Jonna Sundling says what she wants to work with in the future

Jonna Sundling has taken seven World Cup gold and is the world’s best sprint rider.
But she will not be able to compete in cross-country skiing forever-now the 30-year-old tells what she would like to do in the future.

When the World Cup at home in Falun takes place in two years, she is 32 years old. She could certainly continue for a few more years after that. In other words, she is able to pick even more medals at the World Cup and the Olympics.
– I say to myself now: “I’ll keep going as long as I think it’s fun”. And as long as I feel I have development potential. Then I want to continue, she recently said in the SVT program “Kallprat”.

Before the ski World Cup in Trondheim, the sports bible Jonna Sundling asked what she would like to do if she was not a professional skier.
– I’ve been thinking about what I would like to be after skiing, what I would like to do. I don’t really know, we’ll see that, she says.

Jonna Sundling’s future dream profession

She says that skiing came so naturally to her as a child. Admittedly, there were other sports to try out in Tvärålund (Vindeln municipality outside Umeå) where she comes from, but Jonna Sundling would have liked to test something else in young days.
– When I was younger, I thought it would have been fun to test gymnastics, but we didn’t have it in the village I come from or nearby. That’s why I never tested. Same with athletics, so maybe one of it.

After a while, on the other hand, she comes up with what she would actually like to do the day she puts the skis on the shelf and goes into “pension” as an elite athlete. It is a very noble and sympathetic dream profession that she is in.
– I’ve kind of been to a nurse, because I like to help others. But we’ll see what it gets, she says.
