The last price increase for food was higher was in December 2023.
“Higher electricity prices and price increases for food and non -alcoholic beverages were among the main contributions to the inflation rate in February,” said Caroline Neander, price statistics at Statistics Sweden, in a press release.
Coffee and butter are examples of food products that have pulled away properly, plus 28 and 26 percent respectively in one year. Sweets and ice cream have also become much more expensive, 9.4 percent at an annual rate.
Dairy products such as milk, cheese and eggs have increased in price by 10.4 percent since February last year.
Electricity prices and clothing
Total inflation landed at 2.9 percent in February, according to the CPIF measure, which was the same figure as the preliminary showed last week.
Among other price increases that raise inflation a little extra are electricity prices, which rose by 8.9 percent on an annual basis. Clothes have also become an average of 3.8 percent more expensive.
In the opposite direction, interest costs and fuels that have dropped clearly, around 20 and 7 percent, have been clear.
At the same time, the state bank SBAB announces on Thursday that the bank is raising the three -month interest rate by 0.05 percentage points. The bank is thus the first to raise the variable mortgage rates, after almost a year of steady reductions. The new list rate will be 3.47 percent.
