Russia says it has shot down 77 Ukrainian drones above its territory
The Russian Defense Ministry said this Thursday that it had killed 77 Ukrainian drones overnight over different Russian regions, two days after the largest attack of this type that targeted Russia since the start of the conflict. The anti-aircraft defense forces “intercepted and destroyed (during the previous night, editor’s note) 77 Ukrainian air drones”, including 30 above the British region, border of Ukraine, and 25 above Kalouga, the ministry said in a statement.

Ukraine on the G7 discussions menu
The opening of G7 discussions is held this Thursday in Quebec, a summit which must concentrate, in addition to the trade war launched by the United States, on the question of the Ukrainian truce, two days after the green light from kyiv to the American proposal for a 30-day ceasefire, more than three years after the start of the Russian invasion.
Until then, away from negotiations, European countries intend to insist in the G7 foreign ministers on what they consider the essential element of solid peace: the establishment of security guarantees intended to dissuade Russia from triggering a new assault.
“If we do not reach lasting peace in Ukraine, […] The taste of (Vladimir) Putin for conflict and chaos will only grow, “said British diplomacy David Lammy. His Italian counterpart Antonio Tajani will support the importance of” maintaining transatlantic unity to achieve just and lasting peace, which guarantees the independence and sovereignty of Ukraine, and at the same time, the security of the European continent “.

French deputies call to grasp the Russian assets
The deputies adopted a resolution on Wednesday evening on the strengthening of support for Ukraine, notably containing an appeal to the seizure of frozen Russian assets, to which the government is opposed.
On this question, as on that of the construction of a defense Europe or the support of the membership process of Ukraine to the European Union, the hemicycle was however divided during the debates, sometimes stormy. The text was adopted with 288 votes for and 54 against.
