The Swedes took all six gold medals in the ski World Cup in Trondheim.
It was difficult for Therese Johaug to melt.
“I went to Granåsen with a dream of a World Cup gold, but the margins were not quite on my page this time,” she writes on Instagram.
The biggest reason that Therese Johaug36, made a comeback at all was that she didn’t want to miss the chance to compete in a World Cup at home in Granåsen, Trondheim. Her big goal was to win a gold in front of the Norwegian audience.

“I went to Granåsen with a dream of a World Cup gold, but the margins were not quite on my side this time. Still, when you see everything in the distance, the disappointment of pride and gratitude is overshadowed, ”she writes on Instagram.
Johaug’s greeting to all Norwegians
Still, the star has come to the realization that her efforts were very good and that she will still be satisfied with herself in the future, now that the first and greatest disappointment has settled.
“Being able to ski in the rain for tens of thousands of roaring Norwegians has been an experience I will never forget, and I really gave everything I had both in the preparations and during the championship,” she writes and thanks everyone in the audience who was in the arena in Granåsen:
“Thanks to everyone who defied the weather for cheering, and thanks to everyone who helped me on the road”.
Congratulations to four medals in the World Cup, Therese! You didn’t get that gold that you so much wanted, but your efforts were still incredible. Your career as well. You have always been a great role model for many.
