Most ribbons have been handed out in the city of Utrecht, about 28 people received a ribbon from mayor Sharon Dijksma today. One of those people is Kees van den Berg. He has been a familiar face for the LGBTQI+ community in Utrecht since the 1970s. In particular, Van den Berg is committed to older LGBTQI+ers. For example, he devised De Roze Loper, an official quality mark with which care and welfare institutions show that LGBTQI+ people can be themselves with them. Kees van den Berg is from today Knight in the Order of Orange Nassau.
