A “massive” attack of hundreds of Ukrainian drones targeted Moscow and several Russian regions on the night of Monday to Tuesday. At least one person was killed and three others injured, said the governor of the Moscow region, Andreï Vorobiov, on Telegram.

“Over the past night, anti-aircraft defense systems intercepted and destroyed 337 Ukrainian air drones, including 91 above the Moscow region and 126 above the Koursk region”, border of Ukraine, said the Russian Defense Ministry in a statement.

This is the most important attack targeting Russian territory since the start of the Russian offensive launched in February 2022 against Ukraine. Meeting in Saudi Arabia between Ukraine and the United States

Ukraine will exhibit this Tuesday in the United States, at a meeting in Saudi Arabia, a plan for a partial cease-fire with Russia, in the hope of finding the support of Washington. It is a question of “defining a framework for a peace agreement and an initial ceasefire” between Russia and Ukraine, according to the American emissary for the Middle East, Steve Witkoff.

These discussions in Jeddah will be the first at this level between Ukrainian and American officials since the disastrous visit of the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the White House at the end of February.

Zelensky arrived in Jeddah on Monday to meet the Saudi leaders but must leave three of his senior officials to participate in talks. Consultations in Paris between the chiefs of staff of 30 countries

President Emmanuel Macron will speak Tuesday afternoon ahead of “the Chiefs of Staff of the countries who wish to take responsibility” and which he invited to Paris. This meeting will include military officials from 30 countries belonging to the EU and/or NATO, including the United Kingdom and Turkey, according to the Defense Staff. It will be “in close coordination” with “the military command of NATO which will also be associated with this approach”, according to the French head of state.
