Sky Perfect Jsat chooses Thales Alenia Space to create JSAT 32

(Finance) – The largest satellite operator of Asia Sky Perfect Jsat Corporation And Thales Alenia Spacea joint venture between Thales (67%) e Leonardo (33%), announced the signature of a contract for the realization of the satellite geostation for telecommunications “Jsat-32“. Operating in Ku and Ka frequency bandsJsat-32 will provide coverage on Japan and his surrounding seas, with new spots added for mobility applications. Jsat-32 will act as a future substitute for the existing Sky Perfect Jsat sine Sky Sky who provide communication and distribution services in Japan.

As the first contractor, Thales Alenia Space will be responsible of the design, production, tests and delivery of the satellite to the designated launch ramp. The company will also provide the associated land segment. With a launch mass of 3.7 tonsthe JSAT-32 satellite will be made on the platform Spacebus 4000b2 by Thales Alenia Space, renowned for its robustness, reliability and efficiency in time-to-market. The launch of the satellite is scheduled for 2027 and will be designed to have a life life in orbit over 15 years.
