Over a month has passed since Koran burner Salwan Momika, 38, was shot dead in Södertälje.
No one is still arrested for the murder.
– The police Works on well and I hope it bears fruit in due course, says prosecutor Rasmus Öman.
In the midst of an ongoing Tiktok broadcast, Koran burner Salwan Momika is shot dead in what is described as a brutal execution. He was hit by several shots in his head and died at the scene, according to information to TV4 News.
– It was like an earthquake, says Linda, who followed the broadcast.
The murder occurred shortly after 23 o’clock on January 29 in Salwan Momika’s apartment, at a protected address, in Hovsjö in Södertälje. Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson has in a statement called the shooting of death “very spectacular”.
Prosecutor about the hunt: It is moving forward
Five men were arrested and arrested hours after the murder but were later released. They have not been written off from the case but the suspicions have weakened, according to the prosecutor.
– They remain as reasonably suspicious. The preliminary investigation is continuing. No new ones have been served suspicion or detained since then, says Senior Prosecutor Rasmus Öman.
Just over a month into the murder investigation, an intensive survey is still underway to try to arrest the shooter.
– I think it goes forward and I think the police work well and hope it bears fruit in due course, says Rasmus Öman.
Investigates several different tracks: “Very many interrogations”
According to the prosecutor, the murder investigators work with several different theories.
– We work broadly and unconditionally and we have not locked in on any track yet. But I can’t go into any details about the investigation, says Rasmus Öman.
The police are also investigating the motive picture at the same time as forensics continue to analyze various seizures and finds from, among other things, the crime scene.
– We are waiting for the result of the technical investigation, and information gathering in all possible parts is ongoing. Then I cannot specify in detail what it is about.
Öman does not want to comment on how to work in the case or how the perpetrator hunt is in progress.
– The police have held a lot of testimony in this preliminary investigation. There remains some occasional testimony.
