The cyclone Alfred spun several days off the east coast of Australia, at the city of Brisbane.
Although the storm weakened before arriving on the country, it has left a huge amount of 230 millimeters in Queensland and New South Wales.
Heavy rain has covered about 400 kilometers of the eastern shore of Australia. In many places, water is up to the knee and rivers are flooded.
The storm has demanded at least one human life. According to electricity companies, some 300,000 residential buildings and businesses are free of electricity, and the state of emergency will continue for several days.
