The Finnish -Swedish humor group Kaj, who competes in the Melodifestivalen for the first time, quickly climbed as favorites after the competition in Malmö. The Kaj fever has been a fact the weeks before the final and “just bathing sauna” has topped Spotify’s lists of the most played songs of the final contributions. The impact at home has also been great and in Finland Kaj Spotify tops. The group not only convinced the viewing audience that they belong in Eurovision – even the international jury groups fell for Bastugänget and Kaj landed the most jury points after Måns Zelmerlöw. This is the second year in a row that Sweden sends grants made by artists from neighboring countries. Måns won the jury when the international jury said its own, it was clear that Måns Zelmerlöw received more votes than the quay – albeit by a margin. Måns Zelmerlöw got a total of 76 points from the jury while Kaj got 74 points. When the international jury groups appeared in the picture, technical problems arose and Edvin Törnblom, among other things, had to distribute Lithuania’s points. Other mishaps during the evening meant that Måns Zelmerlöw got some confetti in his mouth, Dolly Styles Pyro fell and Maja Ivarsson disappeared in a smoke cloud for a short second. But otherwise the broadcast floated on as planned. Want to see quay after Swiss Eurovision winner Nemo was flown in to perform his “The Code” on stage in Strawberry Arena, viewers and live audience were invited to a glittery opening number by this year’s program manager Keyyo and Edvin Törnblom. To the tones of Christer Sjögrens “I Love Europe” they sang on how Sweden does not have to arrange the Eurovision Song Contest this year. The gaming companies believed in a victory for Måns Zelmerlöw – while the audience on the genre on Friday wanted to see Kaj as the winner of the Melodifestivalen. 27 percent of the genre audience stated that Kaj was their favorites, 17 percent held on Måns Zelmerlöw
