Myanmar Military Junta promises elections for next winter Brief news

The military leader invited the election observers from Belarus, known for defeating his democracy.

The military administration, which is dominating South Asian Myanmar, promises that parliamentary elections will be held in December or January next year.

Juntta has talked about the elections before, but now it gave the fake schedule for the first time.

In Myanmar (formerly Burma), a mess began in 2021, when soldiers captured power from the Nobel Prize-winning Aung San Suu from Ky. Soldiers have sought to overcome opposition and minority groups.

The election was reported by the military junta leader Min aung hlaing visiting Belarus. At the same time, he invited the Belarusian observation groups to follow the elections.

Earlier, in Moscow, Hlaing asserted that his country would support Russia in its war against Ukraine.
