Per Elofsson’s concern for the World Cup bronze medalist Jens Burman

Jens Burman was part of the Swedish men’s relay team that took the World Cup bronze on Thursday.
The ski icon Per Elofsson believes that the 30-year-old can do well even in the five miles, but there are at the same time many question marks around him.
– It feels like it doesn’t let go of him, says Elofsson to the Sports Bible.

For ten years have Jens Burman30, been one of the Swedish gentlemen who competed at national team level. On Saturday, the men’s five -miles are decided and Jens Burman is one of the Swedes who will start. Several of the career’s best results have come to the longer distances, so 50 km suits him. The former Swedish ski icon Per Elofsson47, think Burman can stand for a good race, but at the same time there is something about him that Elofsson has difficulty putting his finger on.
– If you look at Jens Burman, it feels like it doesn’t let go for him. I don’t know what it is. If he is on the snap to be over -trained or if it is something else. Or if he has any illness from time to time that has gone and disturbed him, he tells the Sports Bible.

Elofsson believes that something inhibits Burman

At the end of last season he showed a good shape and came sixth at 50 km classic in the World Cup in Oslo. He generally made a pretty strong 2024.
– He was quick again last season at the end of the season. But it feels like he has more than he gets out, and I could almost think he has been over -ambitious. I don’t think it’s a person who folds down, but he does the job. But he may have got a little too little rest and he may be a little too loaded to get this surplus, says Per Elofsson.

Surely the development curve should not go up after this year?
– No, maybe it doesn’t. He may not develop physically such a lot more. But on the other hand, he might get more out of what he has. Still, I get the feeling that there is something there that doesn’t really come up at all times.

Something that inhibits him?
– Yes, but a 50 kilometer is what really should suit Jens. If he is only in good shape, he can be there. But then it is also important that he gets this surplus back.

Good luck in the five -mile, Jens Burman! Hope you can deliver at your best when it really matters. Drive so it smokes!
