    Turkey opens for soldiers to Ukraine

    Turkey may send military forces to Ukraine – “if needed,” says a source within the country’s Ministry of Defense to the AFP news agency.

    The potential soldiers would be part of an international peace force.

    – The question of contributing to a (peace) mission will be evaluated with all relevant parties if it is deemed necessary to establish regional stability and peace, says the source.

    Swedish Gripenplan to NATO insert over Poland

    Sweden will send Gripenplan to Poland to participate in two of NATO’s air defense operations.

    This is announced by Foreign Minister Maria Malmer Stenergard (M) at a press conference.

    From April to June, 6-8 Gripenplan with pilots and service personnel will be based in Poland to patrol Polish airspace and be part of NATO’s air monitoring.

    This is the first time Sweden has participated with fighter flights in NATO’s advanced defense.

    The government also wants up to eight Gripenplan this summer to protect NATO’s operations in Poland, NSATU, to support and coordinate weapons deliveries to Ukraine. NSATU is in place in Poland with staff, buildings and stands.

    Today, the Government submits a bill for the Riksdag to approve such an effort.

    High -ranking government officials in the US administration have held secret conversations with Zelenskyj’s foremost political opponents, reports Politico.

    The four officials have held talks with Julia Tymoshenko and members of Petro Poroshenko’s party.

    Poroshenko was president before Zelenskyj won the 2019 election.

    The information comes from three Ukrainian parliamentarians and a republican expert on foreign issues.

    According to Politico, it was raised whether Ukraine could hold presidential elections at short notice.
