The cabinet believes that 75,000 reception places should be available for Ukrainian refugees. Council chairman Hubert Bruls, mayor of Nijmegen, called this “a considerable extra task” last week. He thinks it will work, but it won’t be easy. The most obvious locations are now in use for Ukrainians or asylum seekers from other countries, he says.
