This year’s ski World Cup in Trondheim continues to be a big blue-yellow gold party on the women’s side. On Wednesday, Sweden won its fourth straight World Cup gold on Norwegian land thanks Jonna Sundling and Maja Dahlqvist in the team sprint.
Norway’s giant fiasco
For the second gold candidate Norway it became a splendor. Lotta Udnes Weng and Kristine Stavås Skistad Could not keep up with the high tempo at all the Swedes set up and came far behind.

The harsh words hail on the Norwegian sports sites immediately after the race and one word is mentioned everywhere: “failure”.
– Norway is completely flattened. We have been properly hit, says the NRK expert Torgeir Björn.

Former star rider Martin Johnsrud Sundbywhich is also a TV expert at NRK, can only congratulate Sweden who is completely superior in the team sprint.
– This was a completely different outcome than we hoped for. We get outclassed. We are beaten at pure capacity over time. It didn’t look like Lotta (Udnes Weng) had optimal skis today, says Sundby in the TV broadcast.
