US president Donald Trump might count the import duties for Canada and Mexico, said the US Minister of Commerce Howard Lutnick Comment on Tuesday in an interview with Fox Business.
At that time, Lutnick predicts that Trump might tell the local time on Wednesday. Lutnick said he believed that Trump is trying to find a solution to the matter with Canada and Mexico.
Lutnick suggested that specific import duties could be reduced, but would not be completely abandoned.
The import duties on the US Canada and Mexico came into force on Tuesday. Trump has justified imported duties for Canada and Mexico with illegal border crossings and a fentanyl smuggling on the ground, which is a strong opioid used as a drug.
