The presumed government parties of Germany agreed to increase debt

The proposal must receive a two -thirds majority in Parliament.

The German Christian Democrats (CDU/CSU) and the Social Democrats (SPD) have agreed in their negotiations with a proposal that Germany will strongly increase its defense expenditure in the next few years. The parties are likely to form the next government of the country.

According to the party agreement, an infrastructure fund of EUR 500 billion will be established. In addition to this, the acquisition funding of the armed forces will be increased.

Increased spending of money requires the opening of the “debt brake” recorded in the country’s constitution so that the debt brake does not apply to defense.

Change requires a two -thirds majority in Parliament, in the Bundestag Days.

In the new Parliament in the German February election, the Russian -based alternative to Germany and a negative left to weapons would have a targeted minority.

However, CDU/CSU and SPD intend to take the reform to the vote even before the new Bundestag meets in late March.
