Alvar Myhlback has written Swedish sports history.
By becoming the youngest winner of the Vasaloppet ever.
Now Edvin states with a clear requirement to the 18-year-old.
It was on Sunday as the 18-year-old big talent Alvar Myhlback Took the career’s biggest victory so far. When he won the Vasaloppet in 2025 as the youngest winner of all time, since its inception in 1922.
Myhlback’s victory
Now the votes are being raised for Myhlback to enter the Swedish national team. He has long been described as Swedish men’s skiing future but has had a tough winter before the weekend. The victory in the Vasaloppet now becomes the big turn Alvar.

During the ski World Cup in Trondheim, the herds in the skiing team are greatly impressed by the teenager.
– It’s fantastic. You are really impressed with Alvar, he is still 18 years old and wins the Vasaloppet as the youngest of all time and by margin. I know that Alvar is really strong in the stake but that he should take it this early, it is fantastic, says Calle Halfvarsson to Radio Sports.
– Incredible performance and he is cruel, Alvar. Hope he bets even more towards traditionally, because he needs we, says William Poromaa.
Anger’s requirements
Edvin Anger Also comes with a clear requirement directly to Alvar Myhlback, that it is time to leave with long races and invest in traditional cross -country skiing.
– That he manages to do it (win the Vasaloppet) is extremely impressive. We’ll see what he is doing now. But if he has won “Vasan”, he can well give it to that, says Anger to the radio channel.
– If it gives Alvar a real chance to really drive traditionally he will be really good at it and he will be needed in the future.

Anger sees Myhlback as a perfect heir to the Swedish relay team on the men’s side.
– Calle (Halfvarsson) is not 25 years anymore so we will need a new rider eventually, even though he seems to run for a few more years, says Edvin in the interview.
