Police report on an incident where a police officer in Alingsås happened to shoot himself in the leg during an ongoing exercise.
“In connection with an exercise on a shooting range in Alingsås, an incident occurred where a police officer fired his weapon and met his own leg,” police say on their website.
The police have been taken to hospital, and according to initial information, the situation should be stable.
The incident, which occurred at 15.20, has been reported to the police and will be investigated by the Department of Special Investigations.
