Democrats are raging against Donald Trump’s decision to pause all military assistance to Ukraine.

“Blackmail,” calls a person.

Democratic Congress Member Brendan Boyle calls the decision “ruthless, unjustifiable and a direct threat to our national security”.

“This support was approved by the congress of two parties – both Republicans and Democrats realized that support for Ukraine is support for democracy and standing up against Putin’s aggression,” Boyle writes in a statement.

“Still, Trump, who has repeatedly played Putin, plays and undermined our allies, now political games with important military support,” he continues.

His party colleague in Congress, New York Democrat Dan Goldman, says the break of support for Ukraine is “yet another blackmail” by Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelymyj.

Trump was faced with national law about five years ago, when he was accused of pressing Ukraine’s rule to achieve his own political gain.

– This is the exact opposite of peace through strength. Instead, it is another extortion of President Zelenskyj, to illegally withhold aid to get President Zelenskyj to agree to a mineral agreement, says Goldman.

Several US media reported during the night until Monday, Swedish time, information that the US president decided to pause all military assistance to Ukraine. That after Trump and Volodymyr Zelenskyj ended up in a fierce quarrel on Friday, when Zelenskyj visited the White House to sign a mineral agreement with the United States.
