The White House’s security adviser says the Ukrainian president must go out with a public apology for what happened in the oval room during Friday.
He also wants Zelenskyj to show that he is ready to sign the mineral agreement between the US and Ukraine, and be ready to participate in peace negotiations, he says.
– I don’t think it’s too much requested. I think that’s what is best for the American people, the Ukrainian people, for Russia and for the world, says Waltz.
It was on Friday that Volodymyr Zelenskyj met with Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance in the Oval Room. The meeting degenerated into a fierce discussion, and the leaders ended up in a word riot right in front of the cameras and reporters in place.
Zesksyj: not right that such discussions are fully open
On Sunday, the Ukrainian president attended a summit in London, along with several European leaders. After the meeting, he said he believed that the US and Ukraine relationship would be saved, and that the countries will continue to have a collaboration in the future.
At the same time, he stated that he did not think that the circumstances during the meeting were in their favor.
– I do not think it is right that such discussions are completely open. I don’t think it added anything positive to us as partners, he said.
