It is one of the stars series of the Netlix platform and it is back in a few days.

In March, if you do not know how to take care of evenings or weekends, an immersive and spectacular series will return to the American streaming platform, Netflix. With several hundred million people who have already followed it, this series is making a comeback.

No more suspense, this is Drive to Survive, the series devoted to behind the scenes of Formula 1 which arrives on your screens on March 7. As in previous years, there will be ten episodes on the program and the main players in Formula 1 will be present with Max Verstappen at the head.

“The 2024 season was incredible, both on the track and outside, with action long before even the first Grand Prix in Bahrain, launched Tom Hutchings, executive producer on the series. Expect even more drama and highlights in the paddock this year, with a few surprises as a bonus.”

This season is still expected at the turn because if Netflix wants to diversify its program with more and more sport, these series could disappear like that on the Tour de France which will not be renewed.

It is difficult to know the global audiences that the series has generated. Contacted by us, Netflix France confirmed to us that he could not communicate with specific figures. We will therefore just give you the broadcasting figures for the first weeks, falling significantly in recent years.

Indeed, the sixth season of the series in 2024 had accumulated 21.8 million hours looked at in one week. A good score, despite a drop of 15 % compared to the past year (2023) which was 25.7 million. Three years ago, the launch of the series, devoted to the incredible 2021 season and the title of Verstappen at the last race, was followed 28 million hours.

Particularity of this series, many people who are not interested in Formula 1, have taken the time to discover it. In 2023, according to a survey Yougovthere are 26%. And little surprise too, there is not an overwhelming majority of men who watch the series, 46% are women!
